Do you "round" the top of your bracing? Why or why not?
Does it make any difference one way or another?
Thanks in advance

Mine a generally rounded over. I do it while scalloping them and then I shave off the edges with a finger plane until I get the sound I like. After sanding they are rounded over.

I generally sand them toward being a triangle as you remove more mass than stiffness. For an efficient top you want a targeted stiffness at the lowest possible mass. A triangle brace can be made the same stiffness with less mass than a rectangular brace. My triangle shape is more like the profile of a gabled house.
