I've finally finished my Koa/cedar 00. The finishing took longer withe this one. I pore filled with zpoxy and padded on Royal Lac. Not perfect, but that's my inexperience. I do like the overall look of the woods and I am impressed with the warm tone. I also like the sound projection from the sound port. Definitely louder to the players ear.
Once again thank you to Ken and all on this forum for guidance and advice.

The particulars:

Martin style 00
25.4 scale
Koa back and sides
Sinker cedar top
Spanish cedar kerfing
Spruce braces
Purpleheart/abalone rosette
B. Rosewood/purpleheart bridge
Purpleheart end wedge
Cocbolo head plate
B. Rosewood back side head plate
Mahogany neck
Wenge fingerboard with canary binding
Wenge bindings with wbw purfling
Buffalo horn nut and saddle
Rosewood pins

Some very nice touches there John, well-executed.
Any chance of a sound clip?

Thanks Dave. I will try to post some sound clips. I still have some fine tuning intonation issues to correct but I want to let the guitar settle in awhile. I also need to let my fingers heal. Between this nasty cold dry weather we have, I accidentally sanded through several fingertips. Duh.

Very nice!

I see you used the long scale -- seems to me like that is a good idea for the small body guitars.

more tension = more power

Beautiful work John. I can't see the finish flaws you mention.

Great wood, great exercise, love the fingerboard. (Wengé is fabulous for fingerboards IMO)
Well done john. Out of the box, but still recognizable. Congrats!
