Quite the contrasts between these 8 top grade guitars.

I really like the John Price. Nice and clear tones

The Price is nice, though I'm partial to that Romanillos.

I thought this was going to get more comments would get more comments -- interesting stuff.
Now to my ear the Freiderich is the clear winner -- turn away and listen to it, the darn thing sounds like piano.

Interesting - to my ears the Rohe was the more balanced and clear but maybe I just liked that part of the music better.

I really like these comparisons -- goes to show why there will never be head to head comparisons by brands sponsored by the makers. Can you imagine a test of a $800 Blue-ridge import being much preferred over a $15000 Charles Fox? Yes that was me.

Ken: Of course I can imagine the Blue Ridge. At a certain level of "OK-ness" it is a matter of choice, especially if the player and music is good. There is a video of Chapdelaine on You Tube playing a Yamaha, doing COME TOGETHER. I never had much respect for Yamahas, but good player + good music + in tune decent guitar = hard-to-deny. (Nice "face" at 2:03.)
