Testing neck joint fit

This may seem like a "Mr Obvious" comment to many -- but it is worth talking about.

I get questions all the time regarding tweaking the fit of the neck joint to get the finger board plane such that it is the required straight line over the sound board FB extension area. Of course I ask for pictures so I can evaluate. -- Here's the deal, there is no "approximation" when checking this fit and the resulting geometry. This is to say that the precision of the fit neck to body must be finalized else taking measurements or making observations is futile. Of course the joint fasteners must be tight as well. The point is that clearing even the tiniest bit of material from the neck heel or not having the neck snug can have a huge impact on the set angle.
