Best alternative for Waverly's

Waverly tuners on a slotted headstock are just great, but they are so expensive.
I found Grover Stay tite as an option. Someone has expirience with these? Or are there other options for seperated tuners?
Thanks Herman

I have used grover stay tite tuners and I like them. I have not tried them in a slot head. Do they offer three on plate or just individual tuners?

I've used the sta-tites on a few guitars, people are happy with them.

I often use Sta-Tites on slot head guitars and haven't had any problems at all - as yet.
I do change the buttons though for wooden ones. I heat them up with a soldering iron and then just pull off the buttons with a claw hammer. The new ones are fitted with a little ca - perfect.

Thanks boys,
Maybe an ignorant question, but do these waverlys/grovers in a slotted head run on their top just in the bare wood? Or is there a solution with a bushing or so?

Keep it simple -- no bushing in package.
