OO shape

Post by Herman » Mon May 04, 2015 5:34 am

The man I promised to make him a guitar keeps talking about a Santa Cruz OO. I've never looked into the OO guitars before. I think SC copies the Martin shapes, but I don't know for shure. Before I search for a plan, please confirm that it is not a Gibson shape by accident.

The Santa Cruz is a 12 fret to the body guitar and has that classic Martin shape (a little different than the 14 fret to body shape of Martin).
I've "Ben-Had" again!

I believe the Santa Cruz 00 is very close to a traditional Martin style 00 12 fret. Ken offers a great 00-12 template, with necessary dimensions.

My KMG 00 12 Fret build from that template. ( I did not put that big ol pickguard on there, it was just a test)
