Sorry for the absence but Xmas in the jewelry biz is pretty all consuming. I got started on my second J185 early in the fall and have been progressing slowly. It is going together pretty well thus far though I did kill one top by thinning it to much. I would sure like a thickness sander!! Oh well it is the poor carpenter who blames his tools so we press on using the armstrong method. Mahogany and Sitka like the first one though this one bent nicer without the wrinkles in the waist so I should be able to finish it without the sunburst. The burst looks great but adds a lot of additional time to the finish. I am building this one for a friend who's nick name is Buzz so I went with Bee's Wing Mahogony and the inlays will be along the same theme, bees, honeycomb etc. We'll see if he makes the conection. I'll keep adding pics as I progress. Happy New Year!
