New Member and a Thank You

Hello all. I'm Keith from NY and I just signed on today.
I wanted to thank all of you for the great information presented here. I've been reading everything since about Christmas. I don't really have anything to contribute just yet, but I'll be checking in and gathering info for my first guitar.
I've been thinking of this project for some time now. I've read the Cumpaino book and gathered some materials. I've got a neck roughed out, back joined, sides thicknessed and a bending iron (pipe) built. I still need to purchase a soundboard and misc. parts. I guess I'm starting (and hopefully finishing) from scratch.
I do have some woodworking experience and tools. I make longbows and recurves for my archery pastime and for hunting. I've built some furniture. I've played guitar (if you can call it that) for 30 some yrs. I've repaired the busted headstock on my old ovation and it still works but needs refretting. I have a goal to complete my first guitar by the end of summer. I'm historically not very good at meeting goals, so we'll see.
Thanks again for all the great info. I hope someday I can provide some useful information to you all in return.
Keith
