I was thinking my next build would be of curly maple back and sides with maple neck. Cedar top and ebony fingerboard and bridge. Any thoughts warnings or suggestions are welcome.

I'm currently working on a curly maple/spruce body with a maple neck - inspired by Alex DeGrassi's Lowden. I'm going to give the Dolphin bracing a try too.
Have you thought of a binding/rosette/headplate/bridge scheme yet?

No haven't given that much thought yet. Maybe cherry bindings. I am trying to go all non pourous woods on this one. I would like to learn more about dolphin bracing there is topic here right ?. I will search it!. I'm still tossin between spruce and cedar. I like the look of the darker cedar on a top but I love spruce too!. This may be the funnest part of building a guitar for me. Creating it in your mind . Do you have any pics of yours yet?. Sometimes I miss things in the forum!

6 years ago I made this one. Maple all around, spruce top. Purpleheart binding and rosette.
Some may find that combi a bit girly, it is definitely not a guitar you find in a shop. Constructively not my best, but soundwise very very nice.
Herman.
You want pics? here are some:

I also have a set of curly maple back/sides, and have been debating what to do with it.
One thing I've been considering is dying the maple to give it a more burly/aged look, rather than the delicate blonde we usually see (beautiful of course).
Jason and Pharris Romero do some beautiful banjos, and have also done a few guitars. They often add dye / stain /patina to give them a very unique look.

Dark dyed/stained curly maple with ebony binding, and a dark sunburst spruce top is a recipe that could be tasty.

Paul how about walnut bindings....not non porous but would look nice.
I have some ambrosia maple that I thought I would pair with a redwood top and walnut bindings. I think the cedar or redwood would balance the brightness of the maple body perhaps.
