Filling a rosewood fingerboard?

The fingerboard I finish at the moment is ebony. Again I'm delighted how smooth the surface of ebony can be. And how "rough" a pored rosewood fingeboard can feel.
Thought: Filling a rosewood fingerboard with wooddust and glue. It will be smoother, but could one reach the feel of an ebony fingerboard?
Anyone tried this?

Never did that -- might be OK
I dress all fingerboards with

smooth as glass and very tough and easily renewable (A Don Teeter suggestion)

I have heard some of the guitarists prefer Rosewood for the tactile feeling of the open pores. I have used rosewood for fret boards but have never filled them.

Never done it but that is a good idea to try Herman. Give it a go and let us know how it turns out.

Well here are the results.
Don't mind the sawing marks, but above the sanded (2000#) rosewood surface and below the part with the wooddust and CA-glue. Both feel different. The lower part is like glass. Maybe to try on a next guitar.
