Hummm, what did I do? Step in something I shouldn't have? I didn't smell anything....At one time I thought I was a pretty good player (Not as good as this guy by any means) but good enough to recognize talent when I saw it or heard it and I thought He's is a fine musician. Maybe the "Name of the tune?" :)

Haven't been around much lately, as is apparent...but I go in tomorrow for a liver scan to determine if I'm in as much trouble as it would appear...just a wee bit nervous...having not knowingly done anything that would cause my liver to shut down is more than a little worry-some...I haven't drank, or smoked or ate fried foods, or run around with wild women for many years... :) removed my gallbladder 2 years ago and everything was ok then....anyway....it's pretty much put a stop to most things I do at this point..

We kicked off 46 years this last August...not bad for one they all said wouldn't last 6 months... I was looking forward to that 50 mark just to say we did it! Dangit!

We...(My WIFE) has a pretty fine little garden this year, I love veggies...She made a salad with a bit of onion in it and as I grabbed a bite, I noticed the onion eyeing my liver...I used to love liver and onions...maybe I should have let him have it! Ok....I thought it was funny anyway, but I've been strange lately...so ignore me :)

See ya all in the funny papers!

I actually heard Guy Vandusser play SSF live and Chet Atkins too a few years later. Chet mentioned how many thousands of notes were in the piece and said he never really played it perfect -- not a surprise. I have the tab Yikes!!

Oh goodness, I could never play the song...parts, but honestly Mr. Atkins was correct, one look at the sheet music just scares you to death...I never could get that one part...the piccolo...I worked on that thing one time on the piano and accordion for months....NO!! My mind and fingers were no more connected then than they are now...except what I do remember now...my fingers say "You want to do WHAT?"
I played the accordion from the age of 7 to 16 and the piano until I was 22. I could play the Flight of the Bumble Bee at 15...but not SSF!

My fingers have always said "you want to do what?" Disobedient little turkeys, they are.
