Heavy duty abrasive cleaner

We have the standard gummy rubber sanding belt cleaners at each of the power sanding stations - they work OK for normal dust/resin removal. But who has not clogged a belt or drum trying to take off too much material or run through a sap pocket that created a thick band of residue. For me Blood-wood seems the worse --generate too much heat and I end up with a drum that is useless!! I really can't remember were I got this tip but it works great. The cleaner stick is made up of a stack of Plexiglass strips taped together -- I use clear packaging tape. Once assemble the stick is used just like one of the gummy bars.

Thanks1

I will try it, I also use the big eraser, but have fouled a new wrap that the eraser would clean.

2 questions:

Would lexan work the same?
What are the dimension of those sticks?

I suppose any of the acrylic or polycarbs or even PCV would work -- just a guess on my part.

Just like the gummy erasers 2x2x12 when assembled.
