Acoustic Guitar Construction

I started this a month or so ago and have not had the time to do much with it. Now that things have settled down a little I'm hoping to get moving on it some more. This is a zebrawood SJ from the OLF plans. I've built one other guitar from these plans and it turned out quite nice. The top is red spruce and the bindings along with other appointments will be EIR. I like to try something new on each build. On the last one I did a florentine cut away and although I was happy with the results, I didn't want to get into anything quite as challenging. So on this one I have added a sound port, mainly because I want to play a guitar with a sound port. I have also done some radial purfling using zebra wood. This may get done on the top as well. The radial purfling has always caught my eye when I've seen it on other guitars and I've wanted to try it for a while.

What is the angle of your x-brace - looks pretty close to 90*?

Looking very good. That is an attractive rosette too.

I really like the radial purflings and the rosette design with it as well. That will be great looking guitar!

Thanks guys. Dave, there was a fair amount of discussion on the OLF about the plans and that angle. It is about 93*. The plans, as they are drawn, have a wider angle. If you lay it out with the measurements that are given, you get the 93* that I've got. I went with this on my first SJ and was happy with the outcome so I'm sticking with it on this one. The bridge wings do land on the X nicely, which I think is of more importance. I could be wrong though.
I am loving the radial purfling and will be watching for different woods with contrasting grain that would work well for this. What kinds of woods do you all think would look well as a radial purfling?
