So after 25 builds I decided I needed to do a scratch neck. It's Eastern Black Walnut laminated with a maple/ebony/maple stripe, Ebony FB, headstock and heel cap, a back plate of b/w/b/w [maple and stained maple] and curly maple binding,. Pleased with the outcome.

Sweet looking neck. Scratch building is very rewarding when it's done

Tim the neck looks great. How did you go about cutting the tenon?

Was it enjoyable enough, Tim, that you will be doing it from now on?
