Backbracing distances on KMG kits

Post by Herman » Mon Jun 30, 2014 11:58 am

Ken, on several logs I see members place the backbraces put on a unequal distance of eachother. Not Martin like. Is that an advise of yours? And if that is a positive, why is that?

The KMG Luthier Stencils and "kit" back brace layouts are derived from actual models or drawings -- I am not so sure that all, if any of the various Martin models necessarily have the braces evenly spaced -- than there are the variations over the 185 or so years.
