Hi Guys,

What is the best tool for measuring neck angles and where do I find it?

Hey Woody. If you just want to measure the angle, you can take a simple drawing triangle and let it sit to the bodyside and the edge of the fingerboard. There you can read the angle.
More interesting however is how the fingerboardsurface relates to the bridge/saddle.
The tool therefore is a simple staightedge.
Out of my laziness and because Ken wrote some excellent stuff about the matter before, you might take a peak there. But you probably seen those already.

We have an electronic digital angle finder, they were about $100 a few years ago but seems something similar can be had from Amazon in the $40 range -- not sure the brand really matters.

Thanks Herman that's how I built the first few and the straight edge worked fine. I think I need to be more precise now.

Ken, the prices have come way down for the digital angle measurement tools. I found a few on Amazon under $20.

Thanks again guys
