Would anyone care to recommend their favorite shellac?
I prefer not to mix my own. At least not this time around.
Thanks,
Renee

since you do not want to mix your own you might try something like behlen qualasol
http://www.rockler.com/qualasole-the-mo ... nch-polish I have used it and it is really easy to use to get a FP finish. I have done tops just padding it on. Shellac does not have that long of a shelf life, which is one of the reasons people mix their own. It is very easy to mix shellac, 1 Oz of flakes and a cup of DA for 1 lb cut or 2 oz flakes to a cup of DA 2 lb. I make 2 lb cut and dilute 1 - 1 to make a 1lb cut. Put the flakes and DA in a seal-able jar shake every few hours if you think about it and by the next day you have fresh shellac.

Thank you John.
It has been (and still is) a steep learning curve up to this point.
I think I go and try the Qualasol for now.
