Early American Guitars The Instruments of C. F. Martin - NY

Post by Daniel P » Thu Jan 30, 2014 4:41 pm

Had the good fortune to be in NY today for work - with the morning free I made my way up to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and was surprised to find a new show: Early American Guitars
The Instruments of C. F. Martin
.

Quite inspiring to see some of those early instruments - surprising how there were few, if any, fret markers on these early instruments, and many had purfling/inlay around the mid point of the sides.
