I've been doing some mental exercise for longer than I ought to have spent, on making a short-scale lap-friendly guitar, which my instructor tells me would be more comfortable and more productive for me to learn on than the Dreadnaught I made. Yesterday I ran into a mention of a clone of Taylor's GS Mini, a design my instructor had encouraged me to consider, offered by Georgia Luthier Supply. The drawings appear to be comprehensive. Has anyone had any experience with this design in particular or the vendor's designs in general, or for that matter, the vendor in general?
Thanks very much.

I made 2 Martinish 00 guitars from their plans. They are very detailed. The 00 might not be a bad size for you either. I like the 12 fret to the body short scale version. I get full sized pdf of the plans and take that on a thumb drive to kinkos. On sheets with templates I will print out 2.

John, thanks for speaking up. Nothing yet tells me to continue to look, elsewhere.

I have used their building and jig plans. I thought they were well done and cost effective.

I have their side bender plans. They are very detailed, though I will modify the waist caul somewhat. I took them to FedEx and had them printed on full sized paper. You can also print them to standard laser printer paper and tape them together. FedEx charges quite a bit.

The guy who wants a guitar from me owns a GS mini. For its size I think it is a great instument.
For travelling I would skip the Martin backpacker and others, and go for this GS Mini.
Just an opinion
