Will a mahogany top work well with, say, EIR back and sides?

Never tried it. There may be a good reason this combination is, shall we say, rare.

I have done East Indian with cedar. Made a loud, tubby dread.

Hmmm....is a mahogany top just for all-hog guitars, then?

I'd really like to make a guitar body from bamboo.
I read it was okay to use in the "Rule Book".
Woodcraft sells a laminated product that could be resawn that is wide enough, and 30" long, so enough for an OM or smaller.
I think it would look awesome. I plan on trying it.
What do you all think
