It is not meant to replace the usual function of the sander, but as an easy add-on, it might serve some useful functions.

Its for very, very ,very light sanding using fine abrasive -- its actual use is for sanding kitchen cabinet door frames -- smoothing the corner joints. Not meant to do dimensioning, how could it?

Well I do a lot of light sanding of stuff, so it may be worth a hour's work and some mdf, if I find the time.

I believe the abrasive is supposed to be fastened with Velcro -- the centrifical force of the drum rotation keeps the abrasive a fraction above the table -- kind of an abrasive cushion for the work to contact.

Kind of the sand-flee approach? If the velcro is necessary, that would put a crimp in my style for sure.
Thanks
