Acoustic Guitar Construction

Any thoughts on persimmon? I recently saw a set that had some very interesting streaks of color. I'm not familiar with it but I believe it is in the ebony family.

It is very hard -- its the material that was used to make golf clubs.

I agree. RC Tonewoods has some from time to time and I think I might like to try it in the future. If its an ebony, I suppose it might produce results similar to macassar. Hopefully someone else will chime in with some info on this.
