Fingerboard Inlay

Post by Harold in Tn » Sun Nov 17, 2013 11:49 am

How does one go about installing pearl inlay, other than simple dots, in a fingerboard without removing the frets?

Your inlay base needs to span the widest frets both up and down & left to right for the length of the pass and you will adjust the cutter height accordingly.

I'd also make sure the edges of the base have a radius rather than a squared corner to help the router slide better.
