For anyone who does not know who Link Van Cleave is, he has been a life long wood worker, cabinet maker, etc. He has made his living building things out of wood his whole life. He is also a heck of a nice guy who I have emailed with on many occasions.
When the video ended, there were two suggested videos of a women named Mamie Minch. She was the head of repairs at Retro Fret in Brooklyn NY. She recently left to start up her own shop. There is a long-ish story about how this all happened, but I had lunch with her a couple of months ago and she is not only a top notch repair person, singer, guitarist, etc, but she is one hell of a nice women. We spent the whole lunch talking about guitars, the business of building and repairing, and more guitar related stuff. If you are ever in the NY city area and need a repair, she is the person to look up. You might want to try to catch her performing as well. Look her up on YouTube to see some pretty great performances.
This is an excellent video on sharpening a scraper. I may give it a whirl.

This is a great video. I've always just ran my scraper across a file a couple of times. Perhaps a little more attention would pay off.

I've never met Mamie, but after meeting her father Ed, who is a hobby guitar builder in Maryland, I looked her up. She is quite talented and sounds like her shop is getting off to a good start. Not sure what happened to urge her to leave Retrofret. Next time I head to NY, a stop at her shop will be planned.
