Plastic binding

I have made a few beginner mistakes and have figured out how to correct. I am not sure about this one. I have scraped my plastic bindings. That went well but have discovered a couple small gaps between the binding and the side. Also discovered a gap where the binding meets at the tailblock wedge which is also plastic. This did not become evident until after scraping. The cement I used melts the binding. Cannot add a sliver because the cement melts everything in sight. Thought about epoxy but cant sand the plastic. Am I going to have to live with it?

Hi Jon,

Could you post a picture?

I'd like to see what you've got there before making a recommendation. Its very possible the you may be able to make a perfect matching filler out of shavings from the binding mixed with acetone. Do not try the saw dust mixed with glue idea on light wood -- it will always show up as a very dark repair and stick out like a sore thumb.

But anyway pictures would be nice.
