No. That video uses CGI and camera tricks to make it look like the MDF is bending.


Actually, I think it does work that easily. I just removed an old bathroom vanity from my house. It had rounded corners covered in formica or whatever. When I removed the top of it, the bends were revealed to be regular plywood, kerfed so it could bend. If plywood can be bent so easily, MDF should work fine.

Works well for some applications -ie curved door openings, its very,very fragile unitil perpendiular trim is "glued" in place. Generally speaking I'd say most a uses include adding a veneer to the surface to prevent the thin layer from cracking -- it like brittle cardboard strength wise.
