Bachelor Party....Gruhn Guitars

Post by MarkAndrew1 » Fri Aug 02, 2013 3:57 pm

I just had my bachelor party in Nashville a couple weekends ago and i
thought I'd share my experience of going to Gruhn Guitars....

First of all, they just re-located themselves like 2 weeks before i went
into a new/old building. The place looks great inside with new wide wood
flooring and guitars, banjos, mandolins, dobros hanging on the walls for
days.

I was excited to play a bunch of vintage Martins. I played 3 pre-war
D18's and a pre-war D28. They were cool to look at and examine but
honestly they just okay. I also played a Santa Cruz, Collings and an
amazing Huss & Dalton. The H&D was an ADI/IRW and it really blew
all the others I played away.

Anyway, very cool shop. I'd never have the opportunity to play that
many vintage and high end guitars at the same time so needless to say;
I loved it!

Also, Nashville is a great town to see live music; and I mean, EVERYWHERE.
We went to this one place called the Honky Tonk and it was 3 levels. Each
level had a different live band and packed every night. Really amazing. I
live in Boston and we have a pretty robust music scene but nothing like
Nashville.....

Sounds like a good time. But now go home and start building. There is much free fun awaiting. I have been on vacation for a week. I am ready to get back to my building and cant believe how much I have missed it geez. I am sure some can relate
