I opened my new kit today. The major components are Sitka, EIR & Ebony. It has a herringbone rosette & purfling and a zigzag stripe on the back. This will be a special purpose guitar for a special person who picks mainly finger style. The components are top quality, especially the top, which is very stiff and already properly thicknessed (measures .0112") for starters. Thanks Ken for a great new project.

What fun! That's a great sounding wood combination as well.

An OM is one of my favorite styles - wonderful to see that you'll be building a KMG OM.
Excited to see your work.

Looks like a fun project to start. Post pictures and feel free to ask questions along the way.

It should come out real nice. I am just finishing my first guitar using EIR and I have to tell you, I love the look. Hope I love the sound too!

I don't know John, Dennis has already built some pretty nifty guitars -- we may be asking him questions!

Ok, I've started construction. Construction is rather straightforward so I won't bore you with too many pictures. After all there are many other fabulous projects to look at.
