yes, that's clearly what's happened but it looked well proud of the kerfing and a fairly steep angle. I think I probably didn't sand evenly. Anyway, it feels good and solid, and this is, as my mum always says when things go a bit awry 'it's a learning experience'.

There is a potential, albeit a small one, for the sound board to buzz against the neck block if that area is not fully glued down. You might want to try to fit a shim in there to close the gap to prevent any buzz potential. Personally, I think the odds are very small that with the fret board extension pressing on it, that you will get a buzz, but it's something to consider.

It's actually the back which is not glued down fully. I know it's difficult to follow which bit of the build I've fluffed at each step of the way! I may put a cheeky slice of wood in there but I'm not too worried as the pressure from the neck.strings will be pushing the joint together rather than pulling it apart.

Well the guitar hasn't blown up but my relationship seems to have done so instead. Eugh. Anyway, also been working a lot but am back in the game.

So after a lot of fear and consideration I embarked on routing the channels. The binding is a thin strip of plastic, nice and simple I hope. Cut the first couple of specific areas slowly having assembled the KMG router attachment onto my bosch palm. set the router bit very slightly less than the height and depth of the binding so I could scrape it flush and maybe would allow for a little wavering of the router. Seems to be going ok but the routing has gone all the way through to the kerfing in one place. Is this bad?

Using the router attachment has been a bit tricky as the sides were a bit cupped so is wasn't simply a matter of keeping the guide flush against the side but the depth seems good when the binding is offered up.

So shall I just press on?

Picture? Yes this sounds like a problem -- there's no way a binding channel only should be deeper than top+kerfing or side+kerfing -- perhaps my visualization is wrong?

The instructions mention that you should be making several passes to sneak up to get to the proper depth, so you have some practice and feel for the operation -- did you try and do this in just one pass? A little cupping is not unusual -- did you do the sanding process using the PVC sanding tool?

I'm worried I've misunderstood, the channel seems the right depth, the binding still sits slightly proud in the channel, maybe I sanded the side too thin at that point?
