Well I was thinking Dave Bagwill would do a test and let us know -- no kidding. And if the vinyl did not work just take it apart and sub a piece of neoprene.

Well I have the vinyl for sure. No time to build the fixture right now, but when I do, sure, I'll test it.

I would think it would work Dave. I have an old press bag that I am using to cut up for smaller projects that I was going to try.

Tim - is there any chance you would make a bridge clamp with vinyl and let us know how it works? I'll be a while getting to it, and you are on a roll, dude.

Maybe. I started another guitar today ( MS D-18, '37). Today I got the top and back jointed and thickness sanded, rosette in, sides profiled, cut, thickness sanded and bent. Tomorrow braces on top and back, glue up the rim and install the kerfing and side reinforcements. Friday top and back on and prep for finish.
I'll have to get some thinner material for a gasket, the stuff I have now is 3/8" thick.
Edit: Oh yeah, I forgot. I finished spraying one guitar yesterday and it's curing and I pore filled another yesterday and today. I'll start spraying the second tomorrow.

I've been finding things go better for me building 2 at a time.
