Re: Craftsman 12" bandsaw re-sawing
I had some 5/16" bracing I wanted to take down to 1/4" - this setup worked well. I put a strip that was already cut, on the outside of the blade to show how it came off.

Re: Craftsman 12" bandsaw re-sawing
That is great Dave. I've thought about picking up one of these Craftsman 12" saws as a second bandsaw, as they are pretty good buys on Craigs List, but I just don't have the floor space. I'm anxious to do my first resawing with my Steel City 14" saw. I have the Woodslicer blade waiting to be used, hopefully on some walnut billets that I hope to get at Thanksgiving.
I have sawn some maple and walnut bindings with my saw and a 1/4" blade, and it worked pretty well, and then I could clean them up in my drum sander. :>)
