I had some 5/16" bracing I wanted to take down to 1/4" - this setup worked well. I put a strip that was already cut, on the outside of the blade to show how it came off.

That is great Dave. I've thought about picking up one of these Craftsman 12" saws as a second bandsaw, as they are pretty good buys on Craigs List, but I just don't have the floor space. I'm anxious to do my first resawing with my Steel City 14" saw. I have the Woodslicer blade waiting to be used, hopefully on some walnut billets that I hope to get at Thanksgiving.
I have sawn some maple and walnut bindings with my saw and a 1/4" blade, and it worked pretty well, and then I could clean them up in my drum sander. :>)
