I use a .25" rise over the length of a 6 inch bridge. It gets me to exactly the same as a Martin bridge from Stew Mac. I also have been using a .125" saddle for extra compensation room. Seems to have worked out just fine on the last two (which happen to be the only two I have made my own bridges for.
And Dave B, you have acquired quite a bit of knowledge over the last couple of years. Don't try to fool anyone.

Martin's angle are what I can normal. Some of the older Gibsons had much more slope. Not sure why,but Gibsons generally presented more suprises than most guitars.
