Fortunately, time is not an issue for me, so taking some time to build a jig or tool is no biggie. But I would not turn away any of stewmac's stuff if someone left it on the front porch or something. :-)

Soon I may have some additional time on my hands to make some of my own jigs and tools. I have Don Teeter's two volumes and there are some great things to build/make in those books but I haven't had the time to do so yet.

What are some of the things in Teeter that you might try?

1. String Tension simulation jig
2. Bridge plate heater
3. Cross patch gadgets (used to line up side cracks for gluing and aligning patches)
4. Strut jacks
5. Slot jig for truss rods
He also has a great jig for bridge slotting but I need to study it a little further.
