The two pins would be on the fingerboard plane --

Yeah - there are two locating pins... one at the top and one at the bottom.

no where in my instructions does it say to use a radius bar on the top edge of the rim.

Crap! You're right... now I'm confusing all the different processes available on the internet. Good thing I brought this up or come Monday the top would've been radiused.
