Just like the factories (who have big time warranty concerns) I use a properly set up power joiner -- mines a 6" Delta/Craftsman, takes a about 30 seconds for two passes. And no Martin and others do not use some special bowed or angled cut -- I have talked to plant engineers and they dispelled this myth.

Maybe -- but likely not, depends on design, vertical or horizontal? Ease of in/out fence adjustments, vibration control, etc.

On a router table with a straight cut bit.

You would be making a shiity jointer, it may work OK but at times you may get a bit of tear out especially on figured wood. Take a note of the differences between a good jointer and a router table with a straight bit.
