Re: CITES experience?

It true, both importer and exporter need a permit. Madinter charged me €80 for the CITES permit not the stated €65. I had to fill out a PPQ 621, that is the permit to import the protected item(s) and a PPQ 585 which indicates the specific item(s) pertaining to CITES. The PPQ 621 requires a $70 fee to be paid and is good for two years. I forwarded it all to FedEx and I received the set yesterday. It was all pretty easy to do. The time consuming part was finding out what needed to be done. Madinter didn't do right by me concerning what I paid for and what I received but that's another subject. Needless to say, I am incredibly disappointed in the set.
