Thank you for the compliments, I need to learn how to take better images!. This guitar soundwise is the best I have built so far. Really easy to play and sounds beautiful.

I really love the shape and size of the 000 guitars. I am currently finishing up a Padauk/ euro spruce 00-14, and a black Acacia/ sitka spruce 000-14, and my first Cutaway 000-14 (indian rosewood/ Sitka spruce) for a friend. I have a Martin Size 2 palor guitar almost done as well. Thanks again , Jack.

Beautiful guitar. When my stencils come in I will start on one of these.

I have a question for all, the Norman Blake has a smaller sound hole than a normal OM,

Now if a guy wanted to add a small side port. Would you have to make the body a tad bit wider to make up for the extra side port? If so is there a formula for this? Or could you just build a wide body and put a regular 000 sound hole?

Just askin,

Very nice! I'm jealous of the finish.

Regarding the sound port -- what is it that you hope the sound port accomplishes?

You don't need a wider body to add a sound port. No sense in dealing with formulas for that. A shape that roughly contains 1.5" x 1.5" to 2" x 2" should work just fine. This is my latest (2" x 2") and it's in a 00 sized body.
