Kenneth Michael Binding Channel Routing System

As a post earlier in this thread notes, I was fortunate to have purchased a KMG Binding Channel Routing System that I used, with ease and success, on several guitars. Unfortunately, my KMGBCRS was lost in the Northern California wildfires last Fall and, sadly, Ken is no longer with us. So, based on Ken's design, I built a replacement.

It turned out to be easier than I expected. The Grizzly Trim Router that Ken used (H7791) is still available and comes with an edge guide that incorporates all of the adjustment mechanisms needed for a KMGBCRS. The Grizzly's edge guide incorporates a small (~⅜" dia.) roller, held to its support by a left-handed screw/axle. If the roller and screw are removed, the support itself becomes a guide that functions like Ken's. A shuttle like Ken's is easily made from ⅛" pressboard and foam rubber, and a platten can be fashioned from a piece of wood ⅛" (+/-) less thick than the height of the shuttle.
