Elaborous, but very good looking neck. Looking forward how this turns out in the end

Here's a method with pix - continues for a few pages, pretty good photography.

Hey, Dave Bagwill, that URL for v-joint layout was excellent, thanks! May try that version next time. I like the idea that the mating surface on the headstock is 90 degrees to the headstock face.
I finished sanding the neck form today and put a coat of sanding sealer on it just before it rained here, slipped out to the shop between rains to set the neck in the mortise and take a picture.
Still need to find edge marker material for the fingerboard and some tuning machines, and then make a fixture to hold the fingerboard extension in plane with the neck while I do finish sanding on the fingerboard before epoxying in the frets per Don Teeter. Fingerboard is flat.

RFD carrier brought me some tuning machines yesterday from the cigarbox supply place. Installed same. They look like Grover copies, and appear pretty good. Had previously installed frets on flat cherry (plainsawed) fingerboard, using epoxy per Don Teeter's "push-in-with-fingers" method, then waxed and buffed fingerboard, per Ken C. Bolted up the neck today. Haven't fastened/glued fingerboard extension to soundboard, but will wait to see if required. Need to fab cherry bridge and corian nut and saddle next.

Looking MY T fine!
Re: Status, Git #3
Will just stopped by and played #3 for me. The sound is remarkable - articulate, resonant, and with plenty of volume. Makes one wonder just how much money we need to spend on exotic wood, as far as sound is concerned.
