It looks to me that about another .000005 degrees wider would be better, in that it would strengthen the cross-dipole and attenuate the tripole while still preserving the integrity of the monopole, in an N-space configuration, in all possible worlds.

Well..actually...I just think the wider angles look prettier. :-) Hitting those bridge wings and getting 'er rockin' is surely the big factor.

I don't know guys, the last time I attenuated my tripole, it took me a while to recover......

Kyle - what was the gist of the discussion re: x-brace angle over at the forum which shall not be named?

I tried looking for it but had no luck. From what I recall the question was in regards to the drawing discrepancy. As it is drawn the angle is wider, not sure the exact angle. If you follow the dimension given to layout the X you get the 93*. The discussion was about which angle would be acceptable. You can probably guess how that discussion went.

The "pre-war" Martin's that had concavity/bulge issues have a spread of over 100 degrees with the "X" intersection about one inch from the edge of the sound hole.
