Yes she has moved across town so I don't have her hanging around all the time but her father promised he would bring her for lessons. So she'll be excited as she hasn't seen the Uke since I attached the neck, fretboard, and started finishing.

Wanted to let you know after the sixth coat I took 1600,2000,3000,6000,8000 grit to it on the back just to see what it looked like. Still needs some more coats. But was very happy with what I saw. Thinking of finishing useing your method. But not today I'm whupped and the nascar race comes on pretty soon. More hot dogs and tater salad. That's the problem when there's only two at home. You eat hot dogs all week. Lol

That food sounds pretty good right now - I'm in the middle of painting the kitchen.
That's all I have to say about that :-)

OMG!!! I hate I mean hate painting. Unless it's on an easel. Oh well maybe your wife will feed you if you paint her kitchen real nice. I'm watching Randell my handymay install Sheetrock in my insulated new floor down and now walls in my outside shop. I keep my power tools out there. Then I bring in the stuff I have another shop in the rear of the house. Just got AC back there last week. Man I feel like a King or something. Lol

Dave I wanted to tell you that I tried your way of applying Tru-oil. Hope it comes out well. Waiting on it to dry.

As long as you wiped off the excess, that's the most important part. Wipe it on, wipe it off, don't wait between much.

That's perzactly the way I did it. I must say I prefer this to the way I had been applying it. I reckon this to be my seventh coat. I did some sanding first. Plus I experimented with the higher grades yesterday. So far I like what I'm seeing.
