Thanks guys for all the feedback I'm not quite there yet to start finishing but getting really close and always thinking ahead....Its good to lay in bed at night thinking of good things like finishing a guitar rather than all the negative stuff in the world....I call it my therapy

While I still have your attention, any tips on finish shaping / sanding the neck. I believe its spanish cedar with the nice diamond on the back of the headstock. Its not too bad, but I want to keep nice crisp edges. I was planning on making some small angled sanding blocks and double stick tape sandpaper to them. I probably answered my own question but I'm always looking for other ideas that have worked for others.

Thanks again
-Marc

Thanks Tim. My experience is TO is a pretty tough customer. Plus nylon strings hope it works out.

Okay finally getting there, I tested pore filling on some mahogany scrap. I coated with TO sanded with 120, second with 220 dry between coats and also wiped off after each coat...so far so good looks really nice. Color is really nice. Quick question, do any of you stain mahogany? I guess its a personal preference but so far I like the look and in general I like the natural look/color of nice looking woods. Just checking on what some of you have done. Thanks
