Acoustic Guitar Construction

Dave thanks for sharing that. I wondered, and figured that cutaway could be this way as long as the side has some extra length at the neck end, or is that even not required? I tend to like the curve better than the sharp point of the Flor, but the bending part sure would be easier. How about the pointed joint though, and then cutting for a binding there?????

Herman, if you do this, can you share a few pictures of it along the way. You don't usually post building pictures, just the totally fantastic, awesome, awe inspiring finished products. :>)

Kevin - I just use the bent side at the usual length. That does limit your cutaway curve to what the cutoff from the side gives you. You can also rebend that little portion to the curve of your choice once you've cut it off.

Sure Kevin. Usually I don't post building pictures, because the way I build the things don't offer anything special. Yep, a very boring way to make guitars. But I told you, the goal here is making good guitars, not trailblazing designs.
Anyway, if there are no embarrassing details visable, I'll post the progress. OK?
