Hi Dave,

Yes, they are Schaller planetary banjo tuners, with a 4:1 ratio. The lowest three tuners are Schaller D-tuners, so that two pitches can be pre-set on each of them, allowing for rapid and accurate key changes. I made the curly koa buttons to replace the stock mother-of-plastic ones, to match the back and sides. They make for a heavy head, but don't seem to detract from the sound.
