Well our OM and D profiles are copied off actual pre-shaped parts direct from the Martin factory and neither of those have the characteristic you mention -- even though the waist curve "bumps up" it is not as tall as the tail block location. Even when we generate our own profiles using this method:

If there a slope from NB to TB (ie 1") the height at the waist is shorter then the end block dimension.

hmmm. I guess I've been reading that layout wrong. I thought the raise junction of .25" was from a line extending from the TB parallel to the top. Thanks for the clarification.
maybe that's why it was so hard to fit the back to my OM!

Actually it is a sloped line -- if you look carefully there are also offset points (the height does not change immediately at the body center) at each end then those two points are joined with the line. The "bump up" is plotted at the inner waist curve. Sorry, I am sure the illustration is a bit confusing.

TB 4"
inner waist curve 3 5/8"
NB 3 1/8"

Thanks Ken, I don't want to get confusing but is there an X amount of inches off from each end, or off set amount before you draw the sloped line. I believed the 3-1/8 and 4 were heights of the blocks, do you have a rough guess at the offsets...sorry to put you though this.
