Satin is my favorite as well but it seems everyone I build for wants a polished hi gloss. My Walnut/Sinker WRC 00 I'm getting ready to build is going to be satin.

I've used the flattening paste sold via LMI with good results. It is for mixing with Nitro. Very easy to use. Just follow the mixing ratios on the instructions.

Here's a satin uke Walnut, no pore filler -- it was an experiment, I prefer the filled wood.

I like that look. I actually like the pores unfilled. Sometimes that look is so "woodsy" to me.
