Re: Ladder-braced parlor guitar
Today I got the back and top glued and thicknessed. Also have the sides thicknessed, laminated, and in the vacuum bag. Ignore the coloration *(&%*&(*& camera.

- a useless pic - the mega mold you all recognize, I used it to create the correct side profile. The joined back is to the right and blurry. Off to the left the top is being joined. I used Ken Cierp's idea for joining the back, and used the tape method for the top.

- the lamination - .045" sapele on the bottom - this is the outside layer - then .025 maple in the center, and .025 sapele inside. Profiled first.

I roll that epoxy on and into the laminate with some vigor, there is no squeeze-out to speak of, not a problem.
ps - I'll try to remember to do a very short vid next time I use the epoxy, you'll see what I mean. It's a technique I learned from Brian Burns.

Do you use the same West epoxy for pore filling?

I don't. I've actually talked to a couple of folks that say they do, but it just is not designed for that purpose.
Dang, I should try it on some scrap just to prove it to myself.
