Tony, and all, it has been fun to watch each other progress and improve our building over the past few years as many of us got started about the same time, and probably figured, ah, what the heck, I'll build me one guitar and be done..............sure, righhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhht!
Your work Tony is just lovely, as my "living in British" friends say.

Thanks Kevin. I think we have all come a long way. It has been fun getting to know all of you and sharing info and knowledge. We have built ourselves a nice little community here.

Is it feasible to reset a neck that has the fingerboard extension glued to the top without ungluing and removing the neck?

Dove tail joint - no. Mortise and tenon maybe, if there is no glue in the tenon joint the bolts can be removed, neck separated from the body a little and sandpaper inserted. Of course this will only work it the neck needs to be tipped back away from the soundboard.

Yes, that's what I wanted to know. It's an Seagull I found in a pawn shop and plays/sounds pretty good except for the action and the saddle is already pretty low. It is a bolt on.

I take regular sandpaper and put 2" clear packing tape on the back, this keeps the paper from tearing and it slides nice and easy on the tape. When the sandpaper gets a bit worn, I slice off a 3/4" strip and I have fresh piece ready to do it's thing.
