I completed the rim assembly today. The mega mold system sure makes easy work out of sanding the back radius & the neck slope.

Re: My KMG OM-28V Project
During the sanding process to radius the bottom edge of the rim I encountered a new problem. As you can see in this picture, the side edges near the vertical center joint dip down slightly. I noticed that I was sanding in a dip along this edge on each side of the head block before I sanded down to the actual edge of the rim. This didn't look right to me so I glued on a small spruce shim the thickness of the side to eliminate the side dip and then glued on a 1/64" piece of plywood on top of the head block. Now, after final sanding, the edge curve in this area transitions smoothly through the center joint area, as I believe it should be. If my thinking isn't correct, I'm sure Ken will let me know. The finished height along the center joint (after top & bottom rim sanding is 3 1/4".

The height at the neck block including top and back plate is about 3 5/16" +/- is no big deal body depth varies wildly. For sure that should not have had a dip -- perhaps a little too aggressive with the bar flexing the shaft? You'll be fine.
