My First J-45...
Re: My First J-45...
Or, still looking at the waist, it looks smaller because the upper bout is slightly wider.

To me it looks like a tiny bit more radius on the tail block end more like the Martin "D" of course could be the camera angle.

Interesting. I think camera angle accounts for most of it but the waist is pulled in only the lower bout is flattened a hair.
EDIT: I meant to say rounded not flattened.:(

I vote slimmer waist. It looks great!
My next kit purchase will be a J-45. They're one of my favorites.
Very Clean Work Tim!!! You always do a great job.

Are you going with the 24.75 scale? Since these are larger than the Martin "D" I would imagine with the longer scale they'd be real powerful. I think that's the difference in the Gibson advanced jumbo design, I believe they make those in the round and square shoulder models? -- I need to check that out.

Yes, short scale because that what he wants but I would love to do a long scale version. Waist is only 1/4" narrower which is why I was surprised anyone noticed.kencierp wrote:Are you going with the 24.75 scale?
